Windvent is a product developed for Indian conditions by Mr. S Jaikumar to further the pioneering spirit in industrial ventilation that began with providing alternatives to imported equipment that were cost effective and suitable for our conditions to industries. Metcon Engineers was ranked as the leader in the field of specialized fabrication and welding for a variety of industries, defense and research establishments.

On a constant lookout for new technologies and excellence, we soon developed Windvent; a proudly 100% Indian product capable of standing up to and even outperforming imported roof ventilators. We had also realized after seeing industries that had already utilized roof ventilators abroad, that just putting up ventilators did not provide optimum results and in some cases worsened the situation. The solution for this was to carefully study and understand the entire process and working environment before suggesting a ventilation system. Hence we came up with not just a ventilator but a ventilation solution that used roof ventilators as well as other products such as evaporative cooling systems, Dry fog cooling systems etc. to provide you with comfort levels that did not affect your process or your equipment adversely and at the same time gave maximum efficiency for the given conditions. Thus getting a cleaner environment became an economical, easier and greener task.
